Hi Heather, I am so happy for you that is huge! I know I am still trying to get er done to. Still not getting in all the fluids but I can get in at least 2 replacements now. Setting us a schedule I think would help us alot! Getting that first one down does make a big difference. I noticed when I was able to get at least 2 down I do feel better. I hope you are feeling better! I was really sore again last night after a day of thinking ah this is finnally getting better! Got to keep our chins up! Love ya and thinking of you daily! We will see how the tummy does on the go going to look for my daughter a new car or truck hope we find one fast. talk to you soon! Keep up the good work!! I know you can do it! Hey I found the pudding easier to get down sometimes try that! And as Shelly told us use the skim milk for the added protein and the calories when we are shy on them! Talk to you soon Karla
Heather, it took me quite a while before I could get it all in, too! At first, I concentrated on trying to get all my liquids in, then I tried to get to my protein goal, too. I'm still having to really push myself to get my minimum calories in per day, but when I do the scales move!
I'm guessing I was about one month post op before I could really get all my fluids and protein in consistently....and I'm still working at hitting my calorie goals. It's getting a little easier since I've planned out some menus and keep adding skim milk to my Chike, and I make sure to eat something every 2 - 3 hrs until evening.
